Below are my cube assembly instructions

twist one outer layer 45 degree angle then carefully pull edge piece out

now carefully shake the cube untill the whole thing comes apart!!

assembley: re-insert 11 of the 12 edges
|
now re-insert the last edge
|
twist the cube 45 degrees [the end]
